Call for papers
The Organizing Committee happily invites all participants to present free papers (oral, poster, and video ). An abstract of every paper would be requested from the author(s) and will be printed in the Colloquium’s Abstracts.
Exhibition
There will be a trade exhibition with companies exhibiting equipments and reagents from different manufacturers.
Social Programs
Welcome cocktail reception, banquet, farewell party and coffee breaks will provide opportunities for the participants to greet and communicate with colleagues from different countries.
Tourist information
Ho Chi Minh city:
Lying in the southern part
of Vietnam, it is the largest city of Vietnam and one of
the largest cities of South East Asia countries, founded
about 300 years ago. With a population over five million
Ho Chi Minh city combines in itself the classical beauty
of French architecture and the exotics of Far Eastern
towns. The big river that flow through the city is
SaiGon river, covering a distance of 106 km across the
city. Many tourist objects are available inside and
outside the town : BenThanh Market, the main commercial
center, Nha Rong Harbor, SaiGon River – Bach Dang Quai,
Notre Dame Cathedral, the Unification Palace, Uncle Ho
and War museum, many pagodas…
Several famous sights in the country:

The Organizing Committee is co-operating with Saigon tourist in constructing tours before and after the Conference upon personal request of the participants. For details please contact the Secretariat. Participants who have the interest to visit research institutions, organizations within Ho Chi Minh city will have assistance from the Organizing Committee.

Climate:
Ho Chi Minh city has a tropical climate. There are two seasons: the dry and the rainy. October is at the end of rainy season. The daily temperature is about 30oC and occasional rain is possible, mainly in the afternoon and evening.
Language: People speak about 60 languages in Vietnam. The official national language is Viet. English and French are rather popular foreign languages.
Entry formalities:
in general, entry visas are needed. It is important to check with the Vietnamese embassy or consulate regarding visas in advance of the trip.
Currency:
The national currency is Dong (VND). The exchange rate approximately: 1USD # 15.000 – 16.000 VND. The banks exchange most of foreign currencies such as USD, BP, DM etc. Tourist, Visa, American Express, Euro, Master Cards are usually accepted in the large hotels.

City transportation:
There are many versatile means of transportation: taxi, motorcycle, bus, pedicab.
From the Conference venue (Arc En Ciel – BatDat Hotel)
you can get to the center city (BenThanh Market, the
main commercial center, the main streets Le Loi, Nguyen
Hue, Dong Khoi … of Ho Chi Minh city) by # 03 USD taxi.
You can also take the Bus N# 01 (SaiGon-Cho BinhTay,
Center Area-Binh Tay Market), Stations for two
directions at Tran Hung Dao Street, ticket 2000 VN Dong.
